| Iowa students have access to a free test preparation resource through Iowa’s statewide community portal, www.IHaveaPlanIowa.gov, to help them prepare for quickly approaching ACT® and SAT® test dates. The remaining test dates for the 2009-2010 academic year are April 10, 2010 and June 12, 2010 for the ACT® and May 1, 2010 and June 5, 2010 for the SAT®. There also is a test prep component for the GRE®, an admissions test used by many graduate and business schools to evaluate readiness for graduate level work. In addition, a separate vocabulary builder helps all students increase their vocabulary in preparation for testing. Whether students are taking one of these tests next month or next year, they can boost their test-taking confidence by using these free resources.
While there are many other reputable test prep resources, they often charge a fee for their services which may be cost prohibitive for some students and families For example, ACT Online Prep™ costs $19.95 for online access for one year. Iowa College Aid believes all Iowa students should have the same opportunities to prepare for college admissions exams. Thank you so much for your help in getting the word out about these free resources! |
